Rod Wave’s Uncle & Manager, Dee, Is Dead

Rod Wave’s uncle and manager, Dee, has reportedly passed away. We’re sending condolences and prayers to the rapper and his family following this tragic loss.

There are currently no much information on Uncle Dee’s death. What we know is that he was a real one who stood by Rod Wave through thick and thin.

Dee was the CEO of Hit House Management, and he played a major role in the “Street Runner” emcee’s successful music career. He has been with the rapper since the beginning of his career and also gave him a place to stay when he had nowhere else to go.

He was convicted of conspiracy and had to serve 10 years in federal prison. While in prison, Uncle Dee lost his daughter to pancreatic cancer. And unfortunately, he lost his son to a fatal car accident shortly after returning home.

Following his release, Rod Wave, real name Rodarius Marcell Green, played a song for him while he was working at Hooters, and it was at that moment he recognized that his nephew was up next.

During an interview with Revolt back in August of 2023, Uncle Dee talked about managing his nephew and he emphasized that Rod Wave is family first no matter what.

He reiterated that money isn’t a primary factor between the two despite being his manager, adding that he doesn’t charge Rod Wave fees like a manager to the client, but rather uncle to nephew.

Uncle Dee also revealed that his children motivated him to reach out to the youth in the streets to encourage them as well as redirect some of their decisions. “You ain’t bigger than El Chapo. Get you a little business and get out the way. I try to teach them all that,” he explained.
