RHOA’s Kelli Ferrell Sued For Nearly $100K Over Unpaid Rent For Chicken N Waffles Spot

Kelli Ferrell, who is a newcomer on Real Housewives of Atlanta, is already stirring the pot and this time it’s not in the kitchen.

The reality star’s landlord is calling her out for allegedly owing over $101K in unpaid rent interest and late fees for her “Nana’s Chicken N Waffles” location in Sandy Springs Georgia.

In the lawsuit which was filed on March 26, the landlord claims Kelli signed a five-year lease in January 2024 that was supposed to last until August 2029. But she breached the lease by failing to get proper permits to start renovations so she could open the restaurant or pay rent.

Kelli was warned multiple times between August 2024 and March 2025 but never handled it, according to court documents obtained by In Touch.

The landlord has now warned that there will be extra fee of $13,453 in future rent and attorney fees if she doesn’t pay up in ten days. However, Kelli’s rep is blaming her recent divorce from ex-husband Chuvalo Ferrell. Her team says this lawsuit is about her second location and the delays are due to a messy split and close to 160 thousand dollars in legal bills.

Her team added that she has been a successful entrepreneur for over eight years and the Sandy Springs restaurant is still expected to open this summer.

She finalized her divorce from Chuvalo in September 2024, gaining primary custody of their three kids, per Baller Alert. Her ex briefly served jail time after failing to pay $14,889. The rep also claimed he hasn’t paid what he owes her in child support and divorce settlements.

The 40-year-old recently made headlines for spoiling her 17-year-old daughter with 17 luxury handbags on the show. But her team says everything will work out in the end.
