Quaydarius Davis is currently under fire after a video surfaced online showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Ja’Yunna Monae, following their recent breakup.

The clip has since been a subject of discussion through the college football community. The footage which was captured by a neighbor’s doorbell camera, appears to show Davis choking Monae until she loses consciousness.

As you’d expect, the video is now making rounds on social media platforms, garnering outrage from netizens who are demanding accountability from the Florida A&M University wide receiver.

Monae, who was on the receiving end of the assault has since addressed the situation. She confirmed the incident and expressed her intention to press charges. In an emotional and powerful statement, the young lady wrote:

“Domestic violence is never OK. This man choked me until I passed out and peed on myself. He kicked my door down, punched me numerous times all because I didn’t want to be with him anymore.” She identified Quaydarius Davis by name.

Davis has faced similar violence allegation in the past. Back in 2021, while committed to the University of Kansas, the football player was accused of assaulting a woman, leading the university to sever ties with him. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, he was not formally charged in that case.

At the time, he transferred to Jackson State University and eventually to Florida A&M University, where he currently plays as a wide receiver.

However, the recent incident has reignited discussions about the responsibilities of athletic programs in addressing and preventing domestic violence, according to Marca.
