Judge In PnB Rock’s Murder Trial Says The 17-Year-Old Shooter Is Not Yet Competent To Stand Trial

Apparently, everyone clamoring for justice for PnB Rock’s murder, including his family will have to wait after a judge recently ruled the young shooter is allegedly unfit.

A juvenile judge has ruled that the alleged shooter, 17-year-old Tremont Jones, currently “lacks competency” to stand trial, per Rolling Stone.

The teenager had pleaded not guilty to robbery, conspiracy and being a felon in possession of a firearm. As of right now, we have no information on how the trial will resume with this shocking ruling.

In addition, the second person implicated in the shooting, Jones’ father, Freddie Trone, has pleaded not guilty to murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Freddie claims though he brought his teenage son to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffle to rob the rapper, he had nothing to do with Jones pulling the trigger and killing him. His lawyer however admitted that Trone did help his son cover up the murder after the fact.

On September 12, 2022, PnB Rock, real name Rakim Hasheem Allen was robbed and fatally shot at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles near Main Street and Manchester Avenue in South Los Angeles.

3 suspects were arrested in connection to the ‘Everyday We Lit’ crooner’s murder, including a 17-year-old juvenile Tremont Jones, his father Freddie Trone, and 32-year-old Shauntel Trone, who was arrested for accessory to murder.

Allen rose to stardom with his 2016 single, “Selfish”, which became his first Billboard Hot 100 entry, it received triple platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and served as the lead single for his commercial mixtape GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions (2017), which entered the Billboard 200.
