One Of The Men Who Escaped From New Orleans Prison Goes Viral For His Outfit After He Was Recaptured

Yesterday, we reported that 10 men broke out of a New Orleans jail in an overnight escape by fleeing through a hole behind a toilet and scaling a wall. Just in, it’s been confirmed that three of them have been apprehended.

Officials say three of the ten inmates have been recaptured by Friday night, while authorities continued to search for seven others in a jailbreak that may have had inside help.

According to a statement from the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, the seven who evaded authorities remained at large as of Saturday afternoon. The most recent arrest was shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, when the sheriff’s office said that Dkenan Dennis, 24, was in custody.

However, one of the three men who were recaptured has since gone viral. The man is causing stir over his choice of outfit barely 24 hours after escaping. Image of his drip while being arrested has been garnering lots of reactions online.

“Man got caught but served a look while doing it lol. the other 7 better be taking notes on the fit,” someone commented. “Imagine breaking out, getting fresh af just to have to go back,” another person wrote.

“He was in prison so long he thought bape was still popular,” a Twitter user penned. “Police should line them all up and caption it “too easy lol” when they recapture all of them,” someone else added.

Orleans Parish Sheriff, Susan Hutson, said that the escape was discovered during a routine head count around 8:30 a.m. Friday, and there are signs that it was done with the help of people “inside of our department”.

The sheriff’s office added that three employees have been placed on leave without pay and an investigation is underway. Hutson describes it as a “very serious and unacceptable situation.”

According to NBC News, jail records show that at least four of the escaped inmates are charged with murder or attempted murder, while charges for the others include aggravated assault with a firearm, armed robbery with a firearm, armed false imprisonment, battery and drug offenses.
