Machine Gun Kelly Reacts To Criticism Of His New Song ‘Cliche’
Machine Gun Kelly has been showing his versatility in recent years, switching genres and styles. He further proved that he can’t be limited to a certain genre with his new release.
The once-upon-a-time rapper dropped his latest single and music video, “Cliché”—a vibrant, summer-ready track infused with dance-pop energy.
The pop song which was produced in collaboration with SlimXX, BazeXX, and Nick Long, is accompanied by a colorful visual directed by Sam Cahill. While the music video is undoubtedly catchy, fans are not impressed with the song.

MGK has since been receiving backlash from folks online, with many saying he doesn’t have an identity due to the way he changes styles. On X, formerly Twitter, there were lots of negative comments about the song.
Just in, the 35-year-old has now reacted to the backlash. In a video now making rounds online, MGK appears to be crashing out while clapping back at some of his critics.
“All right, I don’t really ever spotlight hate because the love just outweighs it, but sometimes you gotta laugh,” he said, before trolling some of the commenters. “Just tell me you’re insecure and but tell me you found your girlfriend watching this music video without telling me.”

He then clarified that the song is a pop song and is supposed to be that way. “I got it. You’re mad, you’re mad that song is catchy.”
Throughout the video, MGK is seen holding a phone, showing various images and messages, including a South Park character and social media posts while addressing the backlash with a mix of humor and frustration.
“These new celebrities be too insecure, like why tf would you even care what people on twitter have to say? Everybody on this bitch negative, just deal with it,” a fan commented.
