Lil Reese Sentenced To 5-10 Years In Prison For Assaulting His Girlfriend

Lil Reese, has been sentenced to 5-10 years in prison for assaulting his girlfriend. As we previously reported, he was arrested 2 weeks after an arrest warrant was issued over claims he punched and strangled a former girlfriend.

At the time, the Chicago native was booked for aggravated assault of a family or household member and was subsequently denied bond, according to arrest records.

Following his sentencing, the 31-year-old rapper whose real name is Tavares Lamont Taylor, took to his Instagram story to react, writing: “Damn I’m finna miss my daughters.”

Reese allegedly assaulted his former partner at The Pinkhouse in Houston. According to the Houston police, the rapper tried to kiss the woman numerous times at around 6:30 a.m. one morning as he was entering the club and she was leaving.

Reese allegedly grew violent after she turned down his advances, punching her in the face and squeezing his hands around her neck.

While recounting the incident to the police, the woman said she was “gasping for air” and in fear for her life, adding that there are witnesses to the attack, including those that broke it up.

According to the victim, she and Reese dated for around two months before their relationship ended weeks earlier. Following, the authorities involvement and after they observed the woman’s injuries, a warrant was issued for the rapper’s arrest.

Prior to this development, Lil Reese’s attorney Carl Moore told TMZ that “Mr. Taylor vehemently denies these false accusations. We look forward to his day in court.” Unfortunately, things didn’t go their way in court.
