Kelis Slams Nas For Still Owing Her Money, Says She Doesn’t Want Him Back

Kelis has got eyes rolling after responding to some Instagram comments on her marriage to Nas that ended many years ago. It appears she hasn’t forgotten nor forgiven the rapper.

“NAS & Kelis y’all need to double back, give love another chance. Blessings,” a fan commented, and it got Kelis attention.

“Stop it was 15 years ago. Do you want your ex from almost 2 decades ago?” she replied. The fan then tried to check her by saying: “Give Nas his bread back.” She quickly fired back, revealing that the rapper still owes her money.

“Lol he owes me actually, get outa her only a loser is worried about somebody else’s money lol please,” she wrote.

Back in 2018, Kelis revealed in an interview with Jason Lee on Hollywood Unlocked that her marriage to Nas included “a lot of mental and physical abuse,” and that she and her ex-husband both hit each other.

The R&B singer and the rapper were married in 2005, and she filed for divorce while pregnant with their son Knight in 2009, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Kelis revealed m that their marriage was “really dark,” including “a lot of drinking” and “getting high a lot,” and that her pregnancy was what inspired her to file for divorce, because she didn’t want “to bring a child into this.”

When Jason asked her whether Nas hit her after she made the remark about physical abuse. “We would fight, so I’m not—I never, like, just sat there. But we would definitely fight,” she replied.

“Did he hit me? Mhm. Did I hit him back? Mhm,” she continued. “It was because he would black out. He would drink too much, he drank way too much, he will never admit it… There are times that we would party and I would drink with him, but then he would keep drinking. And so a lot of the stuff, he may not remember,” Kelis added.
