Just when we thought Kanye West was done with the rants on X, formerly Twitter, alas, there’s more in his armory. The rapper has been opening up about a lot of stuff lately, but the most recent one left jaws dropping.

On Monday (April 21), the 47-year-old released a new song titled “COUSINS” on his Twitter. He provided context for the song in the caption and people weren’t expecting that.

In the caption, Ye explains what he’s actually talking about in the song and it’s quite controversial. According to him, he gave his cousin fellatio till he was 14. The tweet has since blown up, garnering lots of mixed reactions from netizens.

The song includes controversial lyrics like “Hanging out with my cousin, reading dirty magazines” and “I gave my cousin head.”

“This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore,” he began in the caption.

“Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw,” he continued. My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my mom’s closet were different.”

The tweet has since sparked a debate amongst fans of the rapper. “You need to understand how Kanye works, and his marketing genius. I’m not discounting the trauma of this but he uses shock to drive his marketing campaigns,” one of the top comments reads.

Last week, Ye was in the news when he outed his late mother, Donda, as a lesbian. He claimed he heard noises coming from his mother’s room and when he checked it out, he found out she was having an affair with his babysitter.
