Joe Budden Shares What He Thinks Happened The Night Megan Thee Stallion Was Shot

There have been different speculations following new testimony from Tory Lanez’ driver, Jaquan Smith, who revealed that Kelsey Harris was the one who grabbed the gun and Tory only tried to wrestle it from her when Megan Thee Stallion was shot.

However, Tory won’t be able to use the testimony to support an appeal because a judge said he should’ve used it during the trial.

Joe Budden is the latest to react to the new revelation. He shared his thoughts on the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez incident, making it clear he doesn’t believe the previous version of events presented and wants to know exactly why the shooting happened.

The retired rapper and podcaster presents two cases for what possibly happened, prefacing his statements by saying all parties involved have reasons to lie but he’s going solely off of “n*gga thoughts”.

“What’s more likely? That Tory was just so angered in that car that he took Kelsey’s gun and shot her? Cause there’s a few people that,” he said. “Listen, people know whose gun that was. We know whose gun that was. Y’all think a man is just shooting a girl for no reason? Give me the reason!”

He also shares a scenario where the ex-bestfriends got to a heated point after realizing they were both sleeping with Tory. Joe says that if he was Tory, there’s no need to be mad because he “popped” both friends. He thinks the Canadian rapper would’ve wanted to go back to Kylie’s place instead.

“This n*ggaa was just about to get some Kylie Jenner a**. We just left there, we made him leave. That guy is shooting? No, that guy wants to go back! that guy wants to leave y’all and double back to Kylie Jenner’s house,” he added.

Podcast guest, Marc Lamont Hill and co-host Melyssa Ford, think male ego, alcohol, disrespect, and drugs as possible reasons that things escalated. Marc is convinced people get shot for less, although Joe isn’t buying it because of Tory is a celebrity.

“I’ve never seen a celebrity do it. l’ve never seen a celebrity shoot somebody for less,” Budden says before highlighting that his beef with Megan is that “scuffle and recklessness” is not the same as accusing someone of shooting you.
