Iman Shumpert Wants His Child Support Payment Changed, Claims Teyana Taylor Makes Double Of His Income

It came as a shock to many when Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert announced that they would be divorcing after 7-years of marriage. Just in, the divorce battle has now taken another dramatic turn.

Iman is reportedly asking that his child support payments be re-evaluated due to the fact that his estranged wife makes nearly twice as much as him.

Court documents obtained by TMZ has it that Teyana Taylor’s gross monthly income before taxes is at $93,885, while that of her estranged husband, Iman, is listed at $47,981.

The singer, actress and model revealed in her divorce filing that Iman was allegedly jealous of her fame despite earning more than her due to being a professional NBA athlete.

It’s however noteworthy that the former Brooklyn Nets star hasn’t played in the NBA since 2021. Apparently, some of those earnings have withered away.

According to Iman, he’s currently paying $8K a month in expenses for the former couple’s two children. The 33-year-old also says he is willing to pay for major medical expenses.

Considering the pay gap, the baller doesn’t want his monthly payments increased and believes they should be re-evaluated.

“As a woman with no kids who dated men with kids I will say v’all deserve every penny you’re granted because joint custody or not the mother is always.. ALWAYS responsible for that child,” someone commented.
