Florida Rapper Julio Foolio Shot & Killed On His 26th Birthday

Our prayers are currently with family and friends of Foolio, following the tragic death of the Florida rapper. He was in Tampa, celebrating his 26th birthday when he was shot and killed.

It all started when the Jacksonville native’s birthday party at a Tampa, FL AirBnB was shut down by local authorities.

“Pol!ce shut us down and kicked us out air bnb that’s crazv work,” the rapper wrote on his Instagram story. Julio Foolio was kicked off the premises, prompting him and his friends to go to a nightclub.

They decided to get a room at a local Holiday Inn after the nightclub. Unfortunately, not long before checking into the Holiday Inn, Foolio and his friends were ambushed in the parking lot.

The rapper and his crew were shot at around 4:40A.M. The rapper died from his injuries while four of his friends were hospitalized with injuries that are not life threatening.

Back in October 2023, the “Ion Need Love” crooner suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was still recovering when he got ambushed last night.

Julio’s girlfriend Blanco Mani, has reacted to his passing. “Y’all took my boyfriend from me. I hate y’all & I won’t be the only one crying,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

The rapper’s associate, Wamspinthabiin, also confirmed the news on Twitter. “@julio_foolio rest in power,” he tweeted.

Julio Foolio, real name Charles Jones, began his rap career very early in his life and came from tough and troubling childhood life.

He became mainstream in the year 2018 after dropping a viral song titled, ‘Coming Up’. The success of the song propelled his career in the rapping music industry and he’s since been an household name.

Fans and fellow rappers have since been paying tributes to the deceased Florida emcee. We pray God give his family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.
