Enchanting’s Cause Of Death Revealed As An Accidental Overdose On Oxycodone & Benzodiazepines

The untimely passing of rapper Enchanting, real name Channing Nicole Larry, back in June shocked everyone in the hip hop community. Two months after her death, a cause of death has been determined.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner office stated the cause of death was an accidental overdose on oxycodone and benzodiazepines, per TMZ.

It appears she’s another victim of the opioid crisis. Oxycodone is a form of synthetic opioid and benzodiazepines are classified as depressants typically listed as Valium or Xanax, according to the outlet.

In a statement to The Shade Room, the Texas rapper’s team said that she was first in a critical condition before she passed due to a reported overdose. She was just 26 when she died.

A representative from her management team also revealed she suffered from withdrawal symptoms prior to her passing.

Following the news of her passing, her former label head, Gucci Mane, confirmed the death of his protégée on social media, taking to Instagram to pay tribute to her.

“So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting,” Gucci Mane captioned a photo of the late rapper on Instagram at the time.

Enchanting was initially signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records label in 2020 and she featured on 3 compilation albums before she left the label in 2023.
