Florida Man, Drew Kohn, Who Woke Up From A 244-Day Coma Was Tragically Hit And Killed By A Truck Days Before His 30th Birthday

A Florida man, Drew Kohn, who survived a horrific motorcycle accident back in 2017 passed away recently after getting hit by a truck.

The 2017 motorcycle accident Drew Kohn was involved in at the time reportedly left him in a coma for almost a year.

According to a GoFundMe page, “Doctors thought he was brain dead and would never walk or talk again, but through faith and the power of prayer, he emerged from a coma after 244 days and lived life to the fullest.”

Fast forward to July 26, 2024, the young man was the victim of another terrifying accident. Drew, who was days from celebrating 30th birthday, was struck by a pickup truck while walking at 5.30am in Jacksonville.

The driver remained on the scene but the young man didn’t have the same luck as in 2017. He was sadly pronounced dead when emergency personnel arrived.

“While we miss him more than words can express, we are at peace knowing he is finally home. He was passionate about helping those struggling with trauma and traumatic brain injuries, always giving them hope,” a GoFundMe page stated.

The fundraiser has amassed almost $12K to pay for Drew’s funeral expenses as well as the medical expenses he had accumulated over the years.

“Life is so short. You literally leave your home everyday expecting to return and sometimes God has other plans,” someone commented. “This is definitely some “Final Destination” ish right here. All I can hear is “the candyman” saying, “you can’t cheat death” that’s wild,” another person wrote.
