Did Cardi B Decline A Collaboration Request From Doechii?

Cardi B Allegedly Declined A Collaboration Request From Doechii & Called Her An Industry Plant
Buzzing female rapper Doechii, had an uncommon breakthrough in the music industry. The Grammy Award winner has since been making waves and cultivating her fanbase.
There’s been a lot of theories surrounding her success, and fans of other femcees have been fueling these narratives, especially claims that she’s an industry plant.
Recently, a parody account on X, formerly Twitter, “Skinny Legend,” made a tweet claiming Cardi B declined a collaboration request from Doechii. The page alleges that “Cardi told Doechii that she’s not big enough to collaborate with big artists.”

“I don’t work with industry plants. This deeply saddened Doechii,” Cardi allegedly added, according to the troll account.
The post has since gone viral on the platform, amassing over a million impressions, three hundred plus comments, thirteen thousand likes and six hundred retweets.
To set things straight, these claims are false and no reputable sources back them up. It was made up by the page to farm engagements and fuel negative narrative against the 26-year-old rapper.
Doechii whose real name is Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon, won a Grammy for the Best Rap Album award for her 2024 mixtape, “Alligator Bites Never Heal.” And it was Cardi B, who won the award in 2019, who presented the award to the Tampa native in the awards ceremony on February 2, 2025.
Jaylah brought her mom up to the stage with her and hugged Cardi B before giving her speech, “I don’t want to make this long, but this category was introduced in 1989 and two women have won — Lauryn Hill. Three women have won! Lauryn Hill, Cardi B and Doechii!” she said at the time.
The page also claims Doechii has unfollowed Cardi B as a result. However, this is false as she was not following the Bronx rapper to begin with. For clarity, Cardi has never spoken ill of the rapper.
