A$AP Rocky Sends Shots At Drake On New Song ‘HIGHJACK’
A$AP Rocky is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’. We previously reported that J. Cole will be featured on the upcoming project. It’s also reported that there are shots at Drake on the album, and this has just been confirmed.
Rocky just dropped the lead single from the album it has some shots at the Canadian rapper. He previously dissed Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Show Of Hands’, and Drake fired back on ‘Family Matters’.
Rocky has released the lead single ‘Highjack,’ produced by Greg Kurstin, Jordan Patrick, Zach Fogarty, Hitkidd and the rapper himself. Rocky once again showed he’s one of the most confident rappers out on the track.
“Don’t compare that p*ssy boy to me (I don’t like that)/ Feelin’ like I’m Sosa, Chiefie Keef (I don’t like that)/ Tired of them n—as sleepin’ on me, I don’t like naps/ N*ggas f*ck around and stole the flow and y’all like that?,” he raps, seemingly shading Drake.

However, he made the Drake diss obvious in another line, rapping: “These n—as want my wife bad, the people want my next track/ The coppers want my Black a–, f—ed up, but it’s like that.”
During an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Rocky said ‘HIGHJACK’ is part of him ushering in a whole new aesthetic on everything. He also describes the songs sonics as German expressionism and the whole ghetto futurism grim thing.
Speaking on collaborating with Pratt and Batiste, Rocky told Lowe, “I just love alternative. I love just different sounds and whatnot.”
He continued, “Pratt] kind of gave me this kind of Portishead meets Stevie Nicks vibe a little bit. Right. So I always f—ed with her as a artist, and so I figured it was necessary to get her, Jon Batiste on this one and kind of make it feel soulful to bring it on home in the outro.”
