Angry Passenger Smashes The American Airlines Counter With A Hammer After Learning A Stammer Sold Him A Fake Plane Ticket

A Haitian man was detained inside a Chilean airport after he crashed out, smashing the American Airlines counter with a hammer due to being scammed.

The unfortunate incident happened at Santiago’s Nuevo Pudahuel Airport. The man was attempting to check into his flight to Miami when he discovered he’d been scammed.

It appears the man’s plane ticket was fake because he bought it from an untrustworthy seller. So, he was unable to board his flight, causing all hell broke loose, according to the NY Post.

Upon discovering that he’d been scammed, the man furiously stood on top of the counter and began hitting their computers and monitors very violently with a hammer he had inside his bag.

Video of the incident has since been making rounds on social media. In the footage, many airport patrons can be seen watching in fear as the man screamed and continued to cause damage.

After his violent rampage, the man who was reportedly a construction worker, was detained and taken into police custody.

The man caused a total of $20k in damages, per American Airlines. However, we can’t tell what charges he is facing or if he will be responsible for paying for the damages he caused.
