Legendary Rapper Scarface Hospitalized Over Possible Kidney Failure

Rapper Scarface was rushed to the hospital. And according to reports reaching us, the legendary hip hop icon may be suffering from kidney failure.

Scarface suffered kidney failure after nearly a year and a half suffering the effects of COVID-19. Fortunately, back in 2021 the Houston-native received a new kidney thanks to a transplant from his son.

Scarface whose real name is Brad Jordan, shared back in April 2020 that he suffered kidney failure while battling COVID-19. His son Christopher offered his father one of his kidneys – and it saved his life.

Shortly after the transplant, his son shared a message about the successful surgery. “What a journey it’s been,” Christopher wrote on Instagram. “Surgery went well my dad is thriving kidney is working great!!!!”

Unfortunately, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse. His close friend and fellow Houston artist recently revealed to fans that Scarface is back in the ICU.

While he did not explain exactly what is wrong with the legendary rapper, word on social media is that his donated kidney isn’t functioning properly. And some folks are saying that he may have suffered kidney failure again.

The post has since gone viral on social media, garnering support from fans and the hip-hop community.

Prominent names including DJ Premier, Mannie Fresh, E40, DJ Quik, Twista, Three 6 Mafia, and Krayzie Bone expressed their well-wishes, hoping for Scarface’s quick return to health.
