Justin Timberlake’s Driver’s License Temporarily Suspended Amid DWI Case

Justin Timberlake Pleads Not Guilty, His Driver’s License Temporarily Suspended
Couple months back, Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving while being intoxicated in Sag Harbor. At the time, the Pop superstar told the police he had one martini and followed his friends home. the ‘Mirrors’ hitmaker has now pleaded not guilty to the charge.
During a virtual court hearing, A judge suspended the singer’s driver’s license in the state of New York for the duration of the case.
This was after the Timberlake refused to take a breathalyser test after getting caught driving past a traffic stop on June 18. The officer on routine patrol said in the report that Justin’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy when he was stopped.

The officer continued, “A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention. He had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
The 43-year-old singer’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., was also reprimanded by Sag Harbor Justice, Carl Irace, over ‘irresponsible’ comments he had made about the case, warning that he may issue a gag order if such remarks continue.
“It comes off as an attempt to poison the case before it even begins,” Carl said during the roughly 30-minute hearing. However, Burke maintained Timberlake’s claim that he was not intoxicated when he was pulled over.
“Justin Timberlake was not intoxicated,” the singer’s attorney told reporters after the hearing, adding that he plans to ‘file motions’ to defend his client. He also claimed that the content of those motions and the arguments contained therein will speak for themselves.
While the bartender at Sag Harbor’s American Hotel confirmed Justin’s previous “one martini” claims, there are speculations that Justin may have substance abuse issues after a video surfaced of him acting strangely during his Las Vegas performance, prior to his arrest.
