Shannon Sharpe Issues Apology To Megan Thee Stallion For Sexual Comments

Shannon Sharpe has now issued a direct apology to Megan Thee Stallion for the sexual comments he previously made about her. The podcast host said he genuinely regrets the negative impact his words may have had on her life.

Sharpe made headlines following his November 2023 episode, where he verbally thirsted over the Houston rapper, saying he would have her “stretched out like a quarter to three” if he ever got the opportunity.

“I do it three ways, Ocho: deep, hard and continuously,” the 56-year-old father of three said at the time, revealing his intentions in a graphic manner. “I’d have her opening up like saloon doors.”

He was met with heavy backlash for the comments and although he had apologized on social media shortly after the controversial podcast aired, he made use of the opportunity to directly own up to his mistakes to Megan Thee Stallion.

Meg was the latest celebrity to join Shannon on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, and the first thing the ESPN First Take contributor did was to admit he was wrong for referencing her the way that he did.

“For any unwanted attention, harm, shame, embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I wanna say as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize. You’ve been amazing and you have an amazing career going forward,” he said.

The ‘Hot Girl’ rapper was all smiles while accepting his apology. The two then took a shot of Sharpe’s Le Portier Shay cognac, which she enjoyed.

“That’s smooth.. Okay! I was waiting for it to tear me up! Okay. I like that. Thank you,” Meg said, prompting Sharpe to say he’d ship her a whole bottle. Watch the video below:
