4-Year-Old Autistic Boy Found Deceased In A Pond 12 Hours After He Was Reported Missing By His Family
A Mississippi community is mourning the loss of an autistic 4-year-old boy, Kaleb Jamison, who was found dead in a pond nearly 12 hours after he was reported missing by his family.
The 4-year-old boy and his father were inside their apartment in Canton, MS when the father claims Jamison somehow wondered out the door while he was in the shower.
When the father realized the boy who he says is autistic was gone, he called the police and a search ensued. One of their neighbors caught the boy on their Ring camera walking around the complex barefoot, with only a t-shirt and a pull-up on, according to WLBT.

Following an unsuccessful first search, multiple other law enforcement agencies joined in the search for Kaleb. Unfortunately, after a distressing 12 hours, his body was recovered from a retention pond located right outside the apartment complex.
“It’s really touching. It is disturbing for a child to get out and get away, and the parents don’t know where they are. A little handsome young man has gotten away from us,” Canton Police Chief Otha Brown, said in a statement.
Brown thanked volunteers who joined the search for Kaleb. Community members placed flowers and balloons to honor Kaleb.
